　　汉默公司出品，著名导演瓦尔·杰斯特（代表作：奎特玛斯实验、地狱是一座城市等）指导，视觉特效大师Jim Danforth（代表作：怪形、丧尸出笼等）负责特效制作，而剧本则由VG与詹姆斯·巴拉德（代表作：欲望号快车等）共同编写。电影中大量的“洞穴语”为制作组原创，由27个单词组成，参考了腓尼基语、拉丁语和梵语。。另外，电影中的特效前后用了两年时间制作完成，但仍然用了电影lost land里弃用的边角料填充

    When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth is a movie starring Victoria Vetri, set in the time of cavemen. The film was made by Britain's Hammer Films. Like several of Hammer's previous films, such as One Million Years B.C. (1966), the film portrays dinosaurs and humans alongside each other. Directed and scripted by Val Guest, it was based on a treatment by J.G. Ballard, and nominated for an Oscar for its visual effects.
